Dancing Lights Video

I DID IT -------YIPEE!!! This video does not even do the dancing lights justice but I thought it would give you an idea of what they were like.

Christmas Lights at the Toledo Zoo

A couple weeks ago we headed down to the Toledo Zoo to see the "Lights Before Christmas". The zoo really goes all out for this event. Hope was disappointed that we didn't see any animals but we saw a TON of lights. Our favorite was the dancing lights. They had a huge section of trees that blinked to the beat of some favorite Christmas songs. They did a phenomenal job. If I can figure out how to upload a video I will post it but in the meantime here are some pictures.

Trimming the tree

This year we put our Christmas decorations up in stages. The last stage was putting the tree up on a Saturday morning. It went very smoothly. I just love Christmas decorations but when January 2nd rolls around its time to put everything away. After we were finished with the tree we added a little scavenger hunt to the traditions. The kids had a blast searching through the Christmas decorations in order to be the first to solve the scavenger hunt.

Pictures of our favorite ornaments soon to come!

Lion King

A few weeks ago Hope and I had the privilege of going to see the Lion King at the Detroit Opera House. I won the tickets on the radio and we were both very excited to go. It was a great show and a beautiful theater. We had perfect seats and we both really enjoyed the show.

Ready to leave for dinner and the show!

Dinner at Red Robin

The Opera House was all decked out for Christmas.

Snow Day

Last Sunday we woke up to a beautiful snow. Now it is all melting away and dirty but it was very pretty on Sunday and Monday. The kids were thrilled not to have to go to school on Monday, especially since this week was a short week with half days on Thursday and Friday. Here are some pictures from the fun they had playing in the snow.

Bundled up to face the cold!

Hope really is under there somewhere!

Mitchell made a little hill outside for the kids to sled down!

Isn't the snow pretty!
